Developed as a distinctive collaboration platform for urban technologies, SMARTKENT will take place in Istanbul as part of ATRAX 2027
The challenges facing cities—including population growth, climate change, mobility, energy, security, infrastructure and digital public services—are creating a growing need for stronger collaboration between public institutions, local authorities and technology companies.
Developed in response to these needs, SMARTKENT – Urban Technology and Collaboration Meeting will bring together technologies, services and projects addressing both the current needs and future transformation of cities.
Taking place at the Istanbul Expo Center on 28–30 January 2027 as part of ATRAX 2027, SMARTKENT will unite public institutions, municipalities, municipal enterprises, technology companies, start-ups, technoparks, investors, project developers, academics and industry professionals.
A Distinctive Meeting Model for Urban Technologies
SMARTKENT is being designed not merely as an exhibition area where products are displayed, but as a dedicated collaboration platform where cities’ needs, projects and solution requirements can connect directly with technology providers.

One of SMARTKENT’s primary objectives is to establish direct and sustainable connections between urban decision-makers and the technology ecosystem developing solutions for cities.
Government ministries, public institutions, municipalities and municipal enterprises will be able to present their needs, priorities, ongoing initiatives and planned projects. Technology companies, manufacturers, start-ups and implementation partners will have the opportunity to introduce relevant products, services and collaboration models.
SMART KENT will therefore bring together the needs of the public sector, the projects of municipalities and the technological capabilities of the private sector on a shared platform.
Projects and Solutions to Be Matched Through the B2B–B2G Programme
The ATRAX Project–Solution B2B & B2G Programme, to be implemented as part of SMARTKENT, will be one of the event’s key components.
Through the programme, municipalities, public institutions, investors and project owners will be able to submit their planned or ongoing projects. Participating technology companies and solution providers will then present relevant products, technologies and implementation proposals.
Following a structured matching process based on project requirements and solution categories, mutually approved parties will take part in scheduled meetings during the exhibition.

In addition to the exhibition area, SMARTKENT will feature conferences, panel discussions, special sessions, project presentations and collaboration meetings.
The Urban Wellness Talks – Orange Stage programme will address current developments in the digital transformation of cities, smart municipal services, sustainable infrastructure, data management, mobility, energy, security and citizen-centred public services.
Municipalities and public institutions will share exemplary projects and best practices, while technology companies and start-ups will have the opportunity to present their latest solutions directly to decision-makers.
