Sports, play and recreation areas are becoming increasingly important to the development of more liveable cities. Their design, equipment and long-term development involve a wide range of stakeholders, including municipalities, architects, project developers and manufacturers. FSB Forum Italy aims to bring these different stakeholders together on a shared platform.

Organised by Koelnmesse, with the technical and cultural collaboration of Move City Sport, the event is expected to feature more than 150 exhibiting companies from 17 countries. Sports facilities, urban equipment, landscape architecture, public space design and recreation infrastructure will be among the key topics addressed at the venue.

The programme will include conferences and workshops exploring current approaches to the planning and development of sports and play areas. The Sport&Play Special Award, presented within the City’Scape Award framework, will also highlight architectural projects focused on sports and play environments.

Beyond product and technology presentations, FSB Forum Italy will provide opportunities for industry professionals to establish new connections. Matchmaking services are intended to facilitate business meetings between manufacturers, designers, project developers and other industry stakeholders.

By bringing sports and recreation into the broader discussion of urban life, FSB Forum Italy will address design approaches and facility investments that can enhance the use and quality of public spaces. Its first edition is set to offer an international meeting point for professionals to explore emerging projects, exchange ideas and develop new business relationships across the sports, play and recreation sectors.
