1. Could you briefly introduce your company and the products and solutions you offer to the sector?
As Saygın Patent A.Ş., we have been providing professional consultancy services based in Istanbul since 2006 in the fields of trademark registration, patent applications and industrial design registration, both domestically and internationally. In addition to these services, we also provide support for utility models, copyrights, domain names, barcodes and quality certification processes.
We provide our clients with end-to-end support for all procedures required to protect and manage their rights, both before and after the registration process. We have national and international references across many sectors, from retail and tourism to sports and digital games.
2. What factors influenced your decision to participate in ATRAX for the first time? Have you had the opportunity to visit ATRAX in previous years?
The attraction and recreation sector is one of the fastest-growing and most design-intensive fields in Türkiye. Every innovation emerging in this sector, including amusement park equipment, water park systems, play equipment and event concepts, is also an intellectual asset that needs to be protected. At the same time, cases of imitation and unauthorised use are quite common in the sector.
We saw ATRAX as the right platform to meet manufacturers and operators directly. We followed the Expo as visitors in previous years, and this year we are participating as an exhibitor for the first time.
3. Which products and solutions will you showcase at your stand? Could you tell us about the key features and areas of use of these products?
At our stand, rather than a physical product, we will introduce our intellectual property solutions specifically designed for the sector. Our key areas of focus will include industrial design registration for attraction equipment and play equipment, patent and utility model applications for innovative mechanisms, trademark registration for park, facility and event names, copyright protection for mascots and characters, and domain name services for digital assets.
We will also offer free trademark searches and information services to visitors at our stand. This will allow companies to assess the registrability of their trademarks and identify potential conflicts before making an investment.
4. What are your expectations from ATRAX? Which industry professionals and markets are you aiming to establish new business partnerships with during the Expo?
Our main expectation is to contribute to increasing awareness of intellectual property in the sector. We aim to establish long-term partnerships with equipment manufacturers, theme park and water park investors, event and organisation companies, playground designers and operators of attraction centres in shopping malls.
We also aim to become a solution partner for foreign companies visiting the Expo in their registration and protection processes in Türkiye.
5. Do you have export activities for your products? Which countries or regions are you targeting?
As we operate in the service sector, we do not have exports in the traditional sense. However, helping our clients secure protection in international markets is an important part of our work. We manage international trademark applications under the Madrid Protocol, international design applications under the Hague System, and patent applications under the PCT.
In the Middle East, Europe, Central Asia and Africa, where Turkish attraction equipment manufacturers have significant export activities, we strongly emphasise that trademarks and designs should also be registered in those countries before the products are shipped. This is the basis of our approach: “Protect first, then export.”
